Boat Won’t Start? Three Quick Tips to Get You Going Again!

Published

By Jason Englett
One of the most common calls and questions I get from customers is … “My boat won’t start … any idea why?”
Besides a dead battery, there are three possible culprits worth checking.

1. Check to make sure your safety lanyard is on and plugged in.

2. Make sure your throttle is positioned in neutral, not in gear.

3. Battery switch should be in the “on” position. If battery is in #1 position and doesn’t start, try turning the switch to the “combine” position.
