From Orlando’s scenic lakes to the coastal beauty of Cocoa Beach, communities across the region are bringing festive spirit to life with dazzling holiday boat parades.
Whether you’re a boating enthusiast or simply love a good holiday celebration, these waterfront events offer the perfect way to experience the season with friends and family. Here’s your guide to some of Central Florida’s must-see holiday boat parades this year.
1.Winter Park Holiday Boat Parade
Just a short hop from Orlando, the Winter Park Holiday Boat Parade brings the season’s sparkle to the shores of Lake Virginia. Hosted by the Winter Park Rotary Club in partnership with the city’s Natural Resources & Sustainability Department, this festive parade sets sail on Saturday, December 13, 2024 at 6:00 PM.
Before the boats light up the lake, guests can kick off the evening at the Boat Parade Watch Party starting at 5:00 PM in Dinky Dock Park. Enjoy live music, giveaways, and sweet holiday treats as you settle in with your lawn chair-or snag a spot on the bleachers. Once the parade begins, decorated boats glide across the water, creating a magical backdrop against Winter Park’s charming lakefront.

2.Windermere Chain of Lakes
The scenic Windermere Chain of Lakes provides the perfect setting for a magical night on the water. This year’s Windermere Boat Parade will take place on December 21, 2024 at sunset, featuring local boaters decked out in holiday lights and decorations. Families and friends often gather along the shoreline or on their docks to cheer on the passing boats and soak in the festive atmosphere. The glowing reflections off the water make this one of the most picturesque celebrations in the area.

3. Lake Conway Chain
Known for its close-knit boating community and scenic waterfront homes, this popular Orlando lake system is a holiday favorite for locals and visitors alike. For those near Orlando, the Lake Conway Chain hosts multiple parades throughout the season, each offering a unique view of the festivities.

5. Leesburg Christmas on the Water
The city of Leesburg invites you to celebrate Christmas on the Water “Lighted” Boat Parade on Sunday, December 8, 2024. The evening begins with food vendors and entertainment at Venetian Gardens, followed by the lighting ceremony at 6:00 PM and the parade at 6:15 PM.
Expect beautifully illuminated boats, community spirit, and a festive lakeside atmosphere perfect for all ages.

6. New Smyrna Beach Boat Parade
Head to the coast for the New Smyrna Beach Boat Parade on December 14, 2024, beginning at 6:00 PM. Starting from Riverside Park, this parade cruises along the North Causeway and through the Intracoastal Waterway. Enjoy the view from Riverside Drive, the Smyrna Yacht Club, or Outriggers Tiki Bar & Grille for a front-row seat to the festive spectacle.
